SunDance Sweden South American SunDance, Brazil Kayak Vision
Quest
Midwinter Kachina Dance, Mexico

In 1988, while SunDancing in North America, Mats Aguila
had a vision; it was time to bring this transformational ceremony ''back'' to
Sweden. He shared his vision with Donna TalkingLeaves and asked her to be the
ceremonial dance Chief. Native American
sources would later confirm that the SunDance had indeed migrated from
Scandinavia; brought to the Red people by White, blue-eyed voyagers thousands
of years ago. This Dreamers Earth-Sun Dance is surely one of the oldest
continually performed ceremonies on Mother Earth.
Pine-sweet air, sparkling blue Baltic Sea, The Island's
ruggedly beautiful nature, and an international family await you. We pitch our camps
in the soft moss covering this rock island. Sculptured by millennium of thick
ice these ancient stone beings beckon us to rest, rejuvenate and restore
ourselves.... The
Stockholm archipelago, comprising over 24.000 islands, extends more than 30
miles into the Baltic sea. The sea is exhilarating; the sun is brilliant and
for many people surprisingly hot. This
is a wonderful opportunity to simplify your life and forget the stress of
modern civilization. We will experience 18 days of fresh air; clear water, pastel sunsets, and a scant three hours of
darkness. Oh sweet, sweet Sweden...
It’s the summer adventure you’ll never forget!

''I followed the drumming and
singing to a clearing in the trees where I witnessed a ceremony of great power
and beauty. The people wore brightly colored costumes, adorned with fringe and
ribbons, and holding feather plumes and blowing their bird-bone whistles...they
danced. Back and forth, back and forth to the Sacred tree of life; carried by
the powerful beat of that great drum and the haunting beauty of their sacred
songs. My body swayed, my spirit soared...I longed to join them.

SALVADOR DE BAHIA... Against a backdrop of 17th‑century
colonial houses, gilded churches and lively beaches, Salvador breathes Africa:
The rhythms of Afoxé ; the dance of Capoeira; the spirituality of Condomblé,
the Afro‑Brazilian religion. From this great melting pot with it’s many
pageants and festivals we travel 400 kilometers inland and 4000 feet upward to
the Chapada Diamantina ‑ The Diamond Mountains.
Pink granite
walls, crystal clear cascading waters, verdant valley below; the sacred
cachoeira (waterfall) of Riachinho....
Endless mesa and
sky so deep. Star beings in such profusion and patterns as I've never seen
before... Riachinho, a refuge for the
Little People... A healing sanctuary for all who come.

QUEST FOR SELF.
''Being in a kayak is only a half-step away from swimming: a kayak
is to boating what a 10 speed bicycle is to highway travel. When waves rush
over the kayak you have the sensation of being waist-deep in this vast expanse
of water. It is this nakedness, this exposure to the elements, that gives
kayaking its thrill. The boat becomes an extension of the body.''
The crisp air is tinged
with salt and pine and a blue sea shimmers under a midsummer sun as you glide
silently through this pristine nature.
And when the body aligns with the elements, the busy mind quiets. We restore our connection to the greater Source. As we kayak into the 4 directions, we travel the eternal (medicine) wheel of life. While we explore the outer, the inner life unfolds.
